Ivan Kavanagh

 

IVAN KAVANAGH is a multi-award winning film Writer/Director. Credits include THE FADING LIGHT, TIN CAN MAN, and critically acclaimed psychological horror, THE CANAL. Ivan recently worked on a Western NEVER GROW OLD starring John Cusack and Emile Hirsch and has just completed his new horror film SON, with Park Films. He also wrote the TV pilot THE TURN OF THE SCREW, based on the story by Henry James, for BBC Worldwide and USA Network and is currently working on a new crime/mystery TV drama series THE VANISHING TRIANGLE with Park Films and MGM.

 

Ana Habajec

 

ANA HABAJEC has 10+ years of experience in TV broadcast and production. Ana has worked with in Fremantle for eight years as Executive Producer and Managing Director (as a part of Nordics and CEE territories). While pitching, producing and managing Fremantle extensive international slate (various genres), Ana was looking for opportunities to secure commissions and develop co-production models to gain access to global content rights from producers and local studios with a focus of securing international co-productions.

Apart from working on some of Fremantle’s biggest entertainment shows (Got Talent, X Factor, Pop Idol, etc.), Ana has developed and produced new original prime-time long running drama series – MIDSUMMER FIRE, DECEPTIONS and WIND OF LOVE, which have been sold to 24

territories, including CEE, Middle East and North Africa territories, as well as several high-end drama series and sitcoms that had strong international interest (from VOD platforms/TV networks) – THE GRICH WICH period drama series, WEB THERAPY sitcom (Showtime), PIRATES OF DUBROVNIK period drama series, etc.

Ana has joined Park Films in 2018. as a Business Partner and Producer to expand the Companies TV pipeline by developing and producing high-end TV drama series. She’s is currently working on a new locally developed TV drama series THE VANISHING TRINAGLE for MGM and has completed a new feature film SON which was shot in US.

Ana has a Masters in Film & TV Production graduating at Dun Laoghaire College of Art & Design, Ireland’s national film school.

AnneMarie Naughton

 

Dublin based Park Films was founded in 2007 by AnneMarie Naughton. Previously working with Ferndale Films, AnneMarie produced Maeve Binchy’s TARA ROAD with Andie MacDowell, along with many award winning short films.

Park Films produced SITUATIONS VACANT (2009) directed by Lisa Mulcahy with Grand Pictures and the following four films with wri/ director Ivan Kavanagh ; TIN CAN MAN (re-released 2012) & THE FADING LIGHT (2010) World Cinema section, PUSAN International Film Festival 2010 and won Best Film in Dublin Film Festival Critics Circle Award. Psychological thriller THE CANAL (2014) premiered at TRIBECA Film Festival NY, Released theatrically in North America & worldwide.  AnneMarie won the Bingham Ray Talent Award in 2014 in the Galway Film Fleadh.

In 2016 Park Films produced The Field / Crá sa Chré a six part TV series with Northern Ireland Screen and TG4.

Park Exec Produced Alan Gilsenans’ (Unless) latest film THE MEETING, shot in October 2017 premiered at ADIFF 2018.

 

Park have just completed Ivan’s most recent feature film, SON in September 2020, shot in the US with Andi Matichak and Emile Hirsch with RLJ/AMC as US distribution.

They are currently in development on a number of feature films and TV projects and in the writers room with MGM on the TV series The Vanishing Triangle.

AnneMarie has a Masters in Film & TV Production at Dun Laoghaire College of Art & Design, Ireland’s National Film School.

From acclaimed writer/director Ivan Kavanagh, SON is a bold and unnerving character-driven horror film, in the vein of Hereditary, Rosemary’s Baby, The Omen and The Babadook.
Having escaped from a cult as a child, a mother must face her past when its sinister members break into her home and attempt to steal her eight-year-old son, David. Now the two are on the run pursued by a detective determined to save them both. Since his aborted kidnapping something has changed in David and the boy has succumbed to a mysterious illness. Following her maternal instincts to save him, his mother commits unspeakable acts to keep him alive but is losing the battle. Soon, she has to decide how far she is willing to go to save her son.
